The Food Academy's mission is to work with complex issues requiring cooperation between business, academia and society and that contribute to an innovative, competitive and sustainable food industry. The organisation works nationally and internationally.

Balsgård Foodtech based in Kristianstad, works with new technology for food production, creates opportunities to test and develop new vegetable drinks and foods​, especially for those working with the development of new technology for food production​, in academia or industry.

Foodhills works with circular food production.​ The company, together with partners, is developing a global reference-, test- and pilot plant for circular food production​, which can serve as a place where public and private actors together can build a sustainable production of the food of the future.

Packbridge is a cluster for a connected, smart, and sustainable packaging ecosystem​. Members and partner organisations in business, academia and society take part in knowledge-sharing, competence building and collaborations in areas within sustainability, digitalisation, AI, innovation and technology.

Region Skåne’s innovation company​. Together with private and public actors guiding and developing new opportunities for innovation and growth (eg. FoodTech Innovation Network). Focusing on innovation areas where Skåne possess uniquely good conditions to meet global needs.

The Plant Protein Platform at Lund University’s faculty of engineering is a project gathering work with the aim of scaling up the production of new plant-based foods from the lab scale to the first tests on a pilot scale.

Northern Lights on Food is an initiative via the Lund Institute of  Advanced Neutron & Xray Science (LINXS). It is a partnership between academia and industry that provides food researchers with the opportunity to build unique excellence to take full advantage of the new research tools available at the 2 state-of-the-art advanced research facilities based in the region.

SLU’s Alnarp campus close to both Lund and Malmö, is involved in a number of ongoing projects and activities related to alternative proteins and the future of food22. SLU has been a centre of R&D related to horticulture, plant breeding and the rearing of new species of known food crops.
